Charlotte Tennis Association Board of Directors
The Charlotte Tennis Association (CTA) is a non-profit organization founded in 1991, whose mission is to promote and develop the growth of tennis in the community. The CTA is dedicated to the development of USTA programs, and boasts the largest USTA League tennis program, for both adults and youth, in North Carolina. Under the direction of the Executive Director, staff carries out the daily operations, but policy is formed and much of the organization's work is executed via the Board of Directors, committees and dedicated volunteers.

The Charlotte Tennis Association is seeking applications for their Executive Committee (specifically the Treasurer position) and At-Large positions, to serve for the 2013-2015 term.

The Charlotte Tennis Association Board of Directors consists of four members of the Executive Committee (the officers of the Board), up to eight Director positions and the Past President. Board Members assist and advise the Executive Committee with direction and policy of the Charlotte Tennis Association. The CTA is looking for Board Members who will actively participate on Project Teams in the area of facilities, programming, communications, marketing, fundraising and grants.

The community tennis association desires representation on the Board from individuals who can serve as a resource of knowledge, especially in the areas indicated above, to the Executive Director, the Executive Committee and all organizational committees. Candidates are welcome from all areas of CTA coverage area, and individuals of all ethnic and cultural backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

The Charlotte Tennis Association may conduct follow up interviews with prospective candidates prior to selection. Officers are generally chosen from experienced board members, while at-large board members are usually new to the Board.

The deadline to submit applications for the CTA Board of Director positions is Friday, January 25, 2013. Applicants will receive acknowledgement of their submission, and notification once selections have been made -- by no later than February 15, 2013.
