USTA SOUTHERN COMBO DOUBLES LEAGUE UNDERWAY

The Combo Doubles League continues to grow with over 4,700 players, representing 40 public and private facilities, participating on 350 teams this fall. Team match play will occur through mid-October culminating in playoff events for advancement to the State Championships held over two weekends in Wilmington November 3-6 and November 10-13. SUMMER LEAGUE TEAMS ADVANCE TO STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

After a hot and rainy summer season the USTA Mixed Doubles and Singles Leagues concluded with playoff matches to determine advancement to the State Championships. A total of 10 teams will represent Charlotte in Asheville this weekend for the Mixed Doubles State Championships and 14 teams will represent Charlotte in Goldsboro for the Singles State Championships October 6-9. KEEP ON PLAYING THROUGH USTA FLEX LEAGUE

Bridge the gap between fall and spring USTA League programming. The FLEX League program is fun and flexible, and it’s easy to form singles and/or doubles teams to and play out of private or public facilities. USTA ADULT LEAGUE STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS HELD IN CHARLOTTE

On June 23-26, Charlotte welcomed over 900 players on 88 teams to compete in the 40 & Over USTA Adult League State Championships. Matches were scheduled on over 75 courts across nine area tennis facilities. Feedback from the Tournament staff and players has been extremely positive about their experience. 10 TEAMS CLAIM USTA LEAGUE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TITLES

A total of 33 teams represented Charlotte and 10 teams emerged as Champions in the 18, 40 and 55 & Over Adult League State Championships! CHARLOTTE TEAM ADVANCING TO JTT SECTIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

Congratulations to the 14&U Intermediate team playing out of Russell Tennis Center, on winning the National Championships Junior Team Tennis Qualifier event that was held in Raleigh this past weekend. The team which is coached by Patrick Mlauzi will travel to compete in the Sectional Championships being held in Macon, GA in August, to contend for a spot at the National Championships being held in Lake Nona, FL in October. Registration is now open for 2022 summer USTA Mixed Doubles, USTA NC Singles and Doubles USTA FLEX Leagues. The Charlotte Tennis Association is excited to announce that we were awarded the 2022-2023 bid to host the USTA League Adult 40 & Over State Championships in Charlotte. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase our great city and enthusiastic tennis community.
