2018 USTA ADULT LEAGUE SPRING SEASON OFF TO A STRONG START

The spring season is off to another record setting start with over 4,500 participants playing on 363 teams, an increase of 18 teams over last year, representing 50 Charlotte area tennis facilities! Team competition will run through late May, and culminate with playoff events to advance teams to the State Championships. Registration for Summer USTA Leagues will open April 1. Read More
 

RECOGNITIONS AT 2018 USTA LEAGUE SPRING CAPTAINS MEETINGS

Congratulations to our 2017 Outstanding USTA League Captains of the Year; Trina Blankenship and Joe Clarke. These captains are recognized for possessing an encouraging attitude and displaying excellence in sportsmanship, leadership, and organization. CHARLOTTE TENNIS ASSOCIATION HONORED

At an Awards Luncheon held in Atlanta during the USTA Southern Annual Meeting, the Charlotte Tennis Association was recognized as the USTA Southern Community Tennis Association of the Year! Board President Joel Turner accepted the award along with Executive Director Carla O'Connor, Board Treasurer Erich Podzinski and At-Large Member Blythe Hooker. TENNIS UNITES US ALL; REGISTER TO PLAY ON A USTA ADULT LEAGUE TEAM

Registration is now open for the 2018 Spring USTA Adult League. Women's and men's teams are forming across all age groups and NTRP levels to play singles/doubles. If you are interested in joining the fun, click on the USTA League Tennis menu option to the left for details including format, days of play, and registration information. The team registration deadline is February 4 and the season begins the week of February 18. Read More
 

CTA PROVIDES SUPPORT FOR SCHOOLS

The CTA organizes free School Tennis Workshops and offers free tennis equipment loaner packages to help PE teachers, coaches and organizers implement tennis in school and after-school settings. CTA equipment packages include junior racquets, low compression balls, throw down lines and station signs to facilitate making tennis easy and fun. Using this equipment, tennis can be played in a gym, playground, or on any blacktop surface. Read More
